Alejandro Vivas successfully defended his PhD thesis.
Alejandro Vivas Viaña has successfully defended his PhD thesis Nonclassical Driven-dissipative dynamics in Collective Quantum Optics (my first one as supervisor), at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
For the jury members, we had a lineup of great quantum optics experts, both theorist and experimentalist:
- Johannes Feist (UAM)
- Tomás Ramos (IFF-CSIC)
- Carlos Antón Solanas (UAM)
- Erik Gauger (Heriot-Watt)
- Kai Müller (TUM)
As a supervisor, I am extremely proud and happy about the defence, the incredibly beautiful manuscript crafted by Alejandro, and most of all, his development as a scientist during the last five years. Godspeed, Alejandro!
